Business Development Manager

This person defines long-term organizational goals, identifies business opportunities, builds key customer relationships, negotiates and closes deals, and maintains extensive knowledge of market conditions.

What you'll do
Source new customers through:
Cold calling and emailing,
Inbound leads, and ol' fashion creativity -- who align with Trueform's target market.
Develop a strong rapport with customers and identify new ways to strengthen and expand relationships.
Work with teammates across departments to maintain customer satisfaction.
Oversee and mentor the activities of others who are similarly responsible for developing business for the company.
Strategic planning is a vital part of this job since it is the BDM's responsibility to develop a pipeline of new business.
Preparation requires a thorough knowledge of the market, the solutions and services Trueform provides, and a well-rounded understanding of its competitors.
1) Customer Discovery
Prospect for potential new customer.
Cold call, as appropriate, to ensure a robust pipeline.
Grow, maintain and leverage your network.
Identify potential customers and the decision-makers within their organization.
Understand and build relationships with customers.
Set up discovery and solution meeting with decision-makers.
Coordinate with team to develop proposals that speak to a customer's needs, aspirations, concerns, and objectives.
Participate in pricing.
Address objections by clarifying the message, emphasizing agreements and working through differences to a definite conclusion.
Present an image that mirrors that of the customer and while projecting Trueform's integrity.
2) Customer Happiness
Identify customer potential and grow wallet share accordingly.
Establish and maintain relationships at all customer contact levels to create a genuine partnership.
Liaise between the customer's technical staff and Trueform staff to achieve customer goals.
Ensure customers have the full understanding of Trueform's capabilities and present new features, products, and services.
Conduct routine customer reviews to ensure unqualified satisfaction.
Arrange and participate in new project debriefs to improve internal and customer relationships.
Deliver sales mentoring to Trueform's customer-facing internal staff, as necessary.
Attend industry functions – such as events and conferences – and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends.
Present to and consult with mid- and senior-level management on business trends, to developing new features, services, and products.
Identify opportunities for campaigns and partner relationships that will lead to an increase in sales.
Build upon the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators.
4) Management & Research
Submit accurate and up-to-date weekly status reports.
Enter accurate and up-to-date information in the CRM system on a daily basis.
Forecast growth targets and ensure the team meets them.
Track and record activity on accounts, and close deals to meet targets.
Ensure all team members represent the company in the best light.
Present business development training and mentoring to other internal team members.
Maintain a thorough understanding of Trueform’s people and capabilities.
EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree preferred but not required with proper experience and proven track record.
3 - 4 years' prior industry related business development experience, preferably B2B.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven knowledge and execution of successful development strategies.
Focused and goal-oriented.
